about me

My story in short: a curious child became a material scientist. I was born in a small town in southwest China, embarked on a journey of discovery that led me to Beijing and eventually to the states, where I earned my Ph.D. in materials engineering. I have 15+ years of experience in conducting research and providing consulting services in fields of material characterization, physical and mechanical properties testing, fracture mechanics, failure analysis, and materials modeling and lifetime prediction.

I’m a lifelong learner at heart and keep learning new skills such as programing, web development, and languages. I took Coursera courses and earned certificates in Machine Learning and Google Data Analytics. When I’m not putting my brain to work, I enjoy listening to classical music and watching soccer games.
